What is FIRST LEGO League Future Edition?

FUTURE EDITION marks a new milestone in the evolution of FIRST LEGO League. It is a specialized program designed to make computer science and artificial intelligence a natural part of children's everyday learning.

Utilizing the latest LEGO® Education Computer Science & AI sets, the program brings together everything needed for seamless implementation:

  • Wireless technology and programming

  • Turnkey resources: A dedicated Teacher Portal with lesson plans and presentations (free registration), providing full support and ready-to-use teaching materials for educators.

  • Effortless integration: The program fits smoothly into both regular classroom hours and extracurricular clubs.

Who is it for?

The program is tailored for two key age groups, aiming to inspire children from a very young age:

  • Ages 5–7 (COMING IN OCTOBER 2026): Encourages collaboration, creativity, and early steps in technology.

  • Ages 8–16: Fosters teamwork, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving for entire school classes. For participation in FUTURE Edition 8–16, FIRST LEGO League Bulgaria recommends the LEGO® Education Computer Science & AI 11+ as the baseline set.

The mission of FIRST LEGO League FUTURE EDITION is to break stereotypes and meaningfully engage every type of learner—including children who previously did not see themselves in robotics or STEM fields.
