What is FIRST® LEGO® League Explore?

In FIRST® LEGO® League Explore, teams of students aged 6 to 10 focus on the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to code, and create unique solutions using LEGO® bricks powered by a LEGO® Education robot. Throughout the program, students develop essential learning and teamwork habits, strengthen their language and presentation skills, build critical thinking and engineering design abilities, and expand their vocabulary and understanding of STEM concepts.

FIRST® LEGO® League Explore – BIOGLOW Season (2026–2027)

The BIOGLOW season of the FIRST® LEGO® League Explore series immerses children in the fascinating world of rainforests and their biodiversity. Through hands-on activities and play, young explorers journey through three core stages:

  • 🔍 Explore
Children discover the rainforest ecosystem and learn how plants and animals live in harmony. Inspired by the story in their Engineering Notebook, they step into the shoes of biologists studying life high in the forest canopy, asking questions and connecting play with the real world.

  • 🛠️ Create and Test
Using LEGO elements, teams build modular animals, a majestic tree, and research tools. Children take their first steps in coding by motorizing parts of their model while unleashing their imagination through continuous iteration and improvements.

  • 📢 Share
Throughout the season, teams document their ideas in their Engineering Notebooks. The culmination of their adventure is participating in an Explore Festival, where children proudly present their team model and poster to judges, family, and friends.
