The theme for the 2024-2025 FIRST® LEGO® League Discover season was SUBMERGED℠. In this exciting program, children ages 4-6 explored the depths of the ocean and learned more about this complex ecosystem that ensures a healthy future for the plants and animals that inhabit it.

The young participants had the opportunity to recreate the different layers of the seas and oceans - the solar zone, the twilight zone and the abyssal zone, getting acquainted with its various inhabitants, their challenges and the different professions related to the study and protection of the underwater world. The program included a series of thematic activities in which children designed, built and shared models, working in teams and solving real-life challenges.

FIRST® LEGO® League Discover is designed specifically for the youngest participants, focusing on their early development through fun and hands-on activities. Unlike older FIRST® LEGO® League participants who engage in more complex engineering and robotics tasks, the Discover program emphasizes play, discovery, and creation using LEGO® DUPLO® bricks. The core values on which the program is built are discovery, teamwork, and fun.

During the “DIVE” season, over 50 kindergartens from over 15 towns and cities in the country participated. The activities ended with a final event, where the children shared their creative achievements in front of parents and guests, demonstrating everything they had learned and created. This was the moment when the little explorers shone with their creative solutions and felt like true creators in the world of arts and STEM.
